A Change of Scenery

I love a good change of scenery. Weather it's a new house across town or a new town, I usually find it refreshing. We are officially living in Thomas. This move is no different than all the others. I love the small town vibe. Which is funny when I was in high school I hated it. I never imagined how badly I could miss a dirt road leading to and wheat fields surrounding my house. But living at the edge of town, here in Thomas, I have a great view of the big blue sky and wheat fields just right from my driveway. The elevator across the street will bring me happy memories of past wheat harvests everytime I step outside. I am willing to bet this is the closest I get to living on a farm. I do apprieciate parts of this. In high school I hated the 20 mile drive to school and wished there was a Wal-Mart closer than an hour. If the girls go to school here the drive is just across town and a twenty mile drive will get me to a Wal-Mart. We all are loving all the extra space in the new house. The girls are enjoying a carpeted living room to play in and crawling around exploring. I will admit Bobby and I are already very fond of our king sized bed. Ali doesn't get to sleep with us anymore(per Bobby). This makes me sad, but she has set up camp in the guest bedroom. This house stays alot cooler so Bobby loves that(he gets grumpy when he's hot). I must say having a dishwasher and big laundry room are two of my favorite things. I am really looking forward to getting our backyard fenced in so we can bring Jaxx home. He has been missing Ali. I have a feeling we are all really going to enjoy it here. The girls are will soon have four top teeth. They now use their two bottom teeth to pry open all their snacks. Raiden can stand on her own for thirty seconds now. Paiten can or ten seconds. Raiden can take one step before falling. Pait can now climb onto the couch, but she can't climb down so I have to watch her like a hawk. Raid has discovered she can put her head on the ground, stand up, and look between her legs. This weekend will be the girls first camping and lake experience. I am praying it goes good. We spent Memorial weekend at Lake Eufaula. It was very hot. I'm not really sure how the girls will handle this. At least we have a camper so we have air conditioning to fall back on. Bobby has been working really hard so he's looking forward to down time with his friends and cousin. Being at the lake is my favorite summertime activity so I am also looking forward to this weekend. Anyways, that's all that is new right now. We hope everybody has a safe and fun 4th. Also, that you will keep the troops in your thoughts and prayers.
