It's been awhile since I've blogged. I could say its because of been super busy, but that would be a lie. I've just not felt the urge, I suppose. But I'm ready now. The girls are getting so big. They suprise me everyday with what they have picked up. Their vocabulary is growing. They are getting really good at repeating names of people and things while pointing and looking at pictures or books.  Our house is full of calls for "sissy" all day. They say it when they share, or when one is still sleeping. Whoever is up will bang on the bedroom door yelling "sissy sissy", which results in putting the gate up. There she will stand, pointing at the door, yelling to her until sister wakes up or she gets bored. Raiden likes to forcefully say "I don't know" and "I don't wanna" the most. While Paiten prefers singing all the names of people she knows quietly to herself. During the day though she mostly sings about Bobby. "Daddy. Bobby Joe. Dadda." over and over. Both Raid and Pait are becoming big daddy's girls, which as you can imagine Bobby is over the moon about. If they want something from him they give him kisses, they always drag his boots over to him, if they find something that's his they run it over to him, smiling as if to say "didn't I do good, Daddy". The other morning Raiden wound up in bed with us. As soon as Bobby turned on the bathroom light she slid out of bed and started off for him. She walked right beside him as he gathered all of his things from all over the house. When he sat down to put his boots on she ran over and grabbed her shoes, climbed up on his lap, handed them to him, and started insisting he put them on her. She started saying "go", she wanted to go to work with him. When she figured out it wasn't happening she broke down. She wouldn't even go back to bed without taking her shoes, just in case. This was the highlight of his day. This also brings me to my next point....potty training. I keep thinking they are to young or not verbally ready. But I can't ignore their signs of readiness. So later that morning Raiden was still in bed with me(which doesn't happen often because she is usually a bear to try to sleep with. But she was being quite good and I was enjoying it, so I let it slide) I woke up and she was grabbing my face "momma, mommy". I look down at her and she has taken her pajamas and diaper off. She climbs off the bed and runs into the bathroom, starts pointing at the toilet telling me "pod(potty)". I put her up there and she went!?! Raiden shows the least interest and readiness so this was a huge deal. Paiten loves to use the potty. She has went for both sets of grandparents and several times for me. She's started dancing around when she needs to go, so it's been getting easier to know when to take her. So with mixed emotions I bought them some training underwear. I put them on them last night. Raiden had a few accidents, but as soon as she did she came over and made it clear she knew it had happened. Everytime I took them to try to go Paiten went. She kept hers dry for 3 1/2 hours. So I suppose that's good for day 1. I figure as long as they continue to show interest we will keep playing with the idea....And as long as we have dry underwear I'll put them on so they can feel the difference and hopefully start to understand what's happening. So I guess we will see how it goes. That's about all that I have to fill you in on. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
