Briney 'Delle is what Raiden and Paiten have lovingly taken to calling their baby sister. If we are out and people stop us to ask if they are twins they always redirect their attention with a "See my Briney 'Delle?". They are proud of their baby. The first time we dropped Brin off with Gammy to go play at Gatty Town(Incredible Pizza) Raid cried half of the way and Pait reminded us we forgot Brin the whole drive. They want to help her hold her bottles, give her baths, feed her baby food, sing her to sleep, or pretty much anything they can do to help her. When she rolls over or sits up they often cheer her on and tell her "Way to go". It makes me so happy to see how much they love their sister.
Raid and Pait are becoming close as well and more of best friends. They've always been able to communicate with one another, but not so much in a way we could understand. We got rid of Paiten's "fire" about a month ago and I can already see big improvements in how much she is talking. It's fun to listen to them carry on with one another and get excited together. Sometimes they even lean over to each other, place a hand over the others ear and whisper. I'm not really sure what kind of secrets they could be telling, but it's pretty cute how seriously they take it.
They also continue to fight, which isn't so cute. Everytime they do I always remember my mom, after my sister and me getting into a huge knockdown drag out fight, saying "One day you'll have daughters and you'll understand". Now I do. I feel bad for us giving our mom such a hard time over what was usually(or always) some thing really stupid and always while she was on the phone;). I suppose fighting will be something we will be dealing with for years, but we deal with it and continue reveling in their sweet moments!
Raid and Pait continue to get ornerier, which I think Bobby enjoys the most. I know it's been said a million times but you always know somethings up when things get too quiet. The biggest things they are into now are getting stuff off the kitchen counters and into the refrigerator. They have several objects they know can get them to the counters. Pait is actually the only one who can open the fridge, but all Raid has to do is ask her to and she will gladly get it for her. They aren't allowed to have milk after dinner so one morning we woke up to the jug of milk in the middle of the dining room floor. After further investigation I found a half drank cup of milk by Pait's bed. Thus adding another thing to the list of things I never thought I'd say, "Honey, we've got to get a fridge lock".
The girls favorite things are: going to the store with their Daddy, the special treats they only get with Daddy, anything to do with cowboys or animals, dancing and now even singing, hats, their trampoline, Mondays with their Aunt Sarah, counting stairs to Aunt Sarah's apartment, Friday visits from Uncle Trev and Coopa, looking at pictures of their aunts, uncles, and cousins, dirt and mud, bath time, and tea or coffee parties, and baking cupcakes.
Brinley is such a sweet, laid back baby. I'm not saying she doesn't have her moments, but I feel like they are few and far between compared to her sisters, and I thought they were pretty good babies. She does tend to be a bit more on the dramatic side though. When she was born we thought she resembled her sisters closely. The older she gets the more we see(and hear) how much she looks like her daddy! Her eyes are defiantly blue like his and her hair is starting to turn blonde far before her sister's did. I've also noticed her hair hasn't started growing like theirs had by this point. Raiden and Paiten tended to do the same things at the same times so it's kind of a new experience just having one that seems to be completely different in most aspects. The girls started out on the bottle well before Brinley, but couldn't hold their own bottles until much after she has gotten the hang of it. It took her longer to sleep through the night. Although, with just one and done I didn't feel like I was in need of it as badly. Sometimes she still wakes up wanting some teething tablets and a teether to chew on, but she is good at putting herself back to sleep. She is sitting on her own now too! I was pretty surprised when I propped her up and she stayed, sort of out of nowhere. She eats baby food once a day. She seems to find bananas a bit too sour. She makes a lemon face every time I try to give them to her. Haha. I feel a bit guilty about how much more I get to hold her compared to the girls. I suppose that's just part of the differences between having two infants vs one. Nothing makes her happier than watching her sisters play outside.
I hadn't wrote about the girls in a long, long time and haven't wrote about Brinley at all, so I apologize for being so long winded. They are all sweet little ladies and getting so big and we just love having them around-even if it makes life a bit more unpredictable and a lot messier.
Have a great day y'all!
