I'll start out with my dynamic duo, Raiden and Paiten. These two have no clue they are twins. Bobby and I have rarely ever referred to them as twins, somehow it was always "the girls". Actually, we still do call them the girls, which can make things super confusing for alot of people. People ask them when we are out "Are you a twin?", which they always respond "No, I Raiden/Paiten". This, however, is a huge step up from not telling anyone who they are when asked. Right now they don't seem to mind being asked "which one are you?" or being called the others name. They just think it's silly. I sure hope they stay like that for a long while, because it's not looking like telling them apart is getting any easier for people. Since they've started school in the fall we have only sent them in matching clothes once. Their poor teachers had no clue all day who was who. We are hoping by the time they go back next fall that they will be able to tell them apart. Lol.
Speaking of "school" they girls love C.D.O.. They are still only going once a week, but it has been an awesome experience for them. They talk about their teachers and friends all week. It has really improved their social skills, though they still aren't playing separately(and that's okay), as well as how much they speak. They are always singing the days of the week and months of the year, mostly in a random order. Haha. After speaking with their doctor and three of the teachers I most respect we have officially decided they will not be going to Pre-K next year. We will have them in C.D.O. again next year instead. I am actually relieved to not be sending them, since they will hardly even be old enough to go. I am happy they will get to have the same wonderful teachers again. The girls also like to tell me stuff they learn about "Jebus", which always gives me a chuckle.
My favorite things about my sweet three year olds are how intensely they love everyone, especially each other and their Briney 'Delle, and how much fun it is to talk to them or listen to them chattering away with each other. Raiden's favorite way to say I love you is "I love you. So. Very. Much". Paiten's is always "I just love you". They love every single family member they meet, especially cousins, no matter how distant. At family gatherings I will point out their distant cousins and they tell me "They are my friends because they are cousins, like Baker, Beau, Benton, and Baby Ady". They are crazy about Baker, Beau, Benton, and Adalyn. They always make top priority in their prayers. They have very special and different relationships with each person in Bobby and my family. It makes me happy to see the bonds they have with the people we most care about. They are both crazy about their baby. They tell me almost everyday the best part of their day was playing with silly sister. They are also equally crazy about each other, and have each others backs, though at times it's hard to see through the fighting. Almost daily when I get onto one of the girls for hitting or taking something from the other, as soon as I am done, the one who was hit or whatever looks at me and says "Momma, you be nice to my Raiden/Paiten!". They have both decided that Brinley needs to move to their room to sleep, because she "gets worried sleeping alone". I also think they really really think they are having a baby brother. They ask a few times a week if they can have one. Also, according to them Brinley will need to give her room to him. They are great big sisters!
Our Miss Brinley is something else. She is so much sillier than I remember the girls being. Brinley is her true self at home. She just runs around being a goof ball and following the girls, everywhere they go. She is still rather picky about people in public. I have came to the conclusion that she does prefer men to women. I never know how she picks out who she likes, but she loves almost all of Bobby's coworkers, whom with the exception of two, she never sees. We go into the office once a week since she was born though and she still won't open up for the ladies. She is talking quite a bit, I think. Brinley broke my heart by telling her Daddy and her Uncle Robbie "I love you" before she told me. She is obsessed with carrying around every one's shoes, her "gog"(dogs), baby dolls, sitting in little chairs, and throwing anything and everything in the trash. Oh, and unraveling entire rolls of toilet paper! Even her sisters know to keep the bathroom doors closed. I think it is so sweet how much she looks like Bobby. This often gets her mistaken as a boy though. We get told she looks onery alot, most people think she also gets that from Bobby. She is crazy about her daddy. She demands he hold her for at least fifteen minutes after he gets home. If he starts to put his boots back on anytime after that she sits in front of the back door to try to block him from leaving. I have come to the conclusion that she misses the girls while they are at C.D.O.. It is the only day she will not take a morning nap. As soon as her sisters are back though she is out. Brinley's happiness is infectious to all of us. I was really worried when we had her how the whole family would do with a new baby, but I think she came at just the right time!
Bobby and I have had a few chances to spend some time alone together the last few weeks! We got to go play in the snow with our friends. It was a blast, as usual. We also lost our drive shaft, also as usual. Hahaha. It's always alot more challenging to be in 2 wheel drive during a snow day, mudding, or a river run...I always get out of the Jeep either terrified of Bobby's driving skills or with a renewed sense that he actually might be a good driver, no in between. We also got to go to a Thunder game and stay in the city thanks to his parents and Sarah. It was our first Thunder game. The atmosphere was awesome, and we will defiantly be going again soon! Bobby is planning a "mancation" soon with two of his buddies and his Uncle Freddy. The girls and I are going to be going on special outings while he is gone! Next month we are planning on joining our friends at a huge river run in Texas. We all love the local river runs, but this will be our first big, out of state one. Hopefully all of us will make it without losing any of our parts!
That's what we've been up to. We hope you all are having a wonderful start to the new year!
