What's New
Haven't posted lately so here's what's been going on. The girls turned 8 months old on Sunday! I can hardly believe it. They are getting so big. They love being on the floor crawling and getting into things.I'm beginning to think Raiden is just satisfied with lunging because this is her preferred method. She can put one knee infront of the other but isn't as fast. Paiten I guess took notice of cousin Beau's actual crawling and is now primarily crawling the correct way. Tho it has slowed her down a bit. Both are pulling up on everything. My mom said they were both standing in their cribs at her house after nap time. Both have two teeth on the bottom. One is half way in and the other is still working on it but is visible. The girls have mastered sitting so I am now bathing them together in the bath tub. They love it! Paiten mostly enjoys splashing. Raiden has two or three toys she follows around the bath tub. Becky and the boys came down for a visit. We all really enjoyed it! The girls loved all the play time with Baker and Beau. The boys cracked the girls up. I will eventually get to a computer to post pics of them all playing. We were able to make it to lunch together a couple times. It was nice to get to visit and catch up. It was also Sarah's first prom. It was really cool seeing her all dolled up and excited for prom. Sarah looked beautiful. It was also funny to see the different family dynamics of the youngest being a girl. Trevor didn't even go to prom his Sophmore year. So last year his first prom I didn't go watch him. Maybe Kelsi did? But I know he wasn't half excited as I was for any of the proms I went to....and I went to six. But maybe I'll watch him this year since I'll already be in LA for his baccalaureate. I know it won't be near as magical as watching Sarah tho. The house is coming along. We have three rooms left to paint and some of the outside too. We got the hardwood floors sanded and plan to finish them this week. This weekend we are installing the carpet. Well I'm not but Bobby and his friend will. I'm very thankful my family has been able to take the girls for days at a time so we can tackle the big jobs. And also that the Barton's and Krista can watch them on afternoons so we can get things finished up. My life would be alot more challenging without them. Bobby and I haven't been up to much. He has been working alot and then working on the house. He was able to take a break and go fishing the other day. I have been wrangling babies and working on the house. I was able to get together with a couple of my friends and their babies the other day to hang out and let the kids play. So that about wraps it up. Hope everyone has a great week!

Food Revolution
Alright. Not many people read this but for those of you who do I hope you'll get on board. If you haven't already watched ''Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution'' I urge you to do so! It airs Friday at 8pm Central time. He has been working in England to revolutionize their school lunch programs. Now he is trying to take on ours. It is insane to see his fresh cooked meals(non-processed chicken, wheat noodles w/7 veggies, homemade rolls, and fresh fruit) not meet the USDA guidelines and be replaced with things that meet DO(hamburgers and fries). ''French fries are the most common type of vegetable children eat. Fries account for about one-quarter of children's vegetable intake.'' You can read about this and more at http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2009-03-01-vegetables-fries_N.htm . He is also trying to teach families how to cook fresh, good for you meals. I would love for you to get on Jamie's website www.jamieoliver.com and read his platform for change. (found under campaigns, click food revolution, then find Jamie's platform for change. Click it.) It not only tells you what exactly he wants to change but also talks about families of Huntington, WV that are struggling with obesity that he is working to help. You can also learn more about what programs he has started and find recipes. If you do like what you see and think it's something you could stand behind sign his petition. He wants to present it to President Obama to show that we do care what are children are being fed at school. I did it. It takes 30 seconds. I hope that by the time Raiden and Paiten are in school I will be happy with what they are being fed. I also am in no way saying I know what or will always feed the girls what is right, but I'd like to learn. Anyways please check it out! =)
