This is the day that the Lord has made

The past couple of days have been very productive. On Friday Bobby got off early and was able to go talk to our realtor. Randy said we should be closing this week on our house! We are both really excited and can't wait to get started renovating everything! All the extra space will be awesome. I'm also really happy we were able to find a house with a big backyard. Ali and Jaxx are going to love it! On Friday my mom and I met at the trade show, shopped, and exchanged the girls. She has offered to keep the girls one weekend a month so Bobby and I can catch up on ''us'' time and get some things done. This of course is also nice for them since they live two and a half hours away. We spent Friday night hanging out at Bruce and Glenna's with our friends. Saturday we went car shopping. This is the main reason my parents took the girls. I know it can be done with two babies and two carseats but we thought it would be more productive without them...at least until they get a lil' older. The weather was really cold, windy, and rainy so this reassured us that we had made the right decision to leave them behind. We found THE one...only when we went to the bank to get cash they were closed. No big deal...unless someone forgot her checkbook! But thankfully Terry and Sarah were able to meet us at the Cherokee with it. We invited them to ride along with us back to the city. So after a full day of shopping we came home with a '03 Chevy Trailblazer(which we had unconciencly(sp?) primarily been looking at). We are very happy and think we will enjoy it. Also we came in under budget! Since we were under budget and definatly owed Terry and Sarah one we took them out to eat. We all had fun. Sarah rode home with me. I had a blast. We told ghost/scary stories the whole way home. I did alot of laughing. Today Bobby and I attended church again at Trinity. It was alot better service than last time, but it was also Rev. Clay's farewell sermon. So we will just have to see where it goes from here. They talked about the song that is this blog's title. I have been singing it to myself all day! Bobby is spending his afternoon fishing. I'm off to the trade show again to pick up the girls. I hope you all have a wonderful week!....Andi the girls and I are really looking forward to our dinner date this week!=)

Double The Trouble Or Twice As Nice?

I love love LOVE my girls. More than I ever even thought possible. Ever since I found out I was going to have two I was very excited but nervous too. Financially I was scared to death. We go through one can of formula a day! And of course the matching(or similar)clothes, which aren't a must but...they are twins! Then there was my fear I wouldn't be able to tell them apart. Even though this has all subsided people's reactions to twins still stays with me. When people would find out I was having twins I got alot of ''double the trouble'' or ''twice as nice''. The double the trouble group were usually very apologetic. Funny having people apoligizing for what your ovaries have done. Most stated I could never do it. This makes me laugh. Short of deciding which one to keep and putting the other up for adoption I bet they'd figure it out. Sink or swim. My twice as nice group would get very excited! Bobby and I always talked about wanting twins before, but it still caught me off guard how many people told me they wanted twins too. Probably because I got such mixed feedback. But with pregnancy behind me now I get this reaction, ''Twins? Double the trouble or twice as nice?''. Most days I'll tell you twice as nice. They are a handful but they are just such a blast! We do have days where I secretly think to myself double the trouble today at least.I've got to say it has mostly been here lately though. Teething is by far the hardest part so far. My poor sweet babies have been lil' grouches. They refuse to nap(this is not because of lack of trying by any means...blah=P) but still get so tired. They wake up randomly in the night. They are now aware when I hold one but not the other. When they are tired they follow me crawling while they cry(it's actually sorta cute). If one wakes up she believes her sister should be awake too. But none of this even comes close to their twice as nice qualities. I love waking up to two babbling, smiling, laughing, singing girls. It's way better than my morning coffee. Hearing them say ma-ma or calling for da-da all day makes my day. Watching them learn new stuff together. They really feed off of each other. My heart melts when they hold hands or kiss. To see their faces lite up when I bring her sister into the room is amazing. Watching them play with toys together(most of the time steal them from each other)is one of my favorite things to do. They are the only people who think I am THE funniest person in the world. I love how not only can we tell them apart but we know who is crying or laughing by listening to them. I was afraid I would go down in history as the only twin mom not to pick that trick up. ''There's two to kiss, there's two to hug, but best of all there's two to love'' which hangs in their room as a reminder pretty much sums it up. These are some of the many things I adore about my mostly twice as nice, occasionally double the trouble, beautiful baby girls. The last seven months have been fantastic!

My life be like....

Well, I had been working on a blog about all of our vacation details, but Bobby insisted I wait until I can add pictures. So instead I will just tell you about what's going on in our lifes. The girls got huge while we were gone. We got to my parents at one in the morning flipped on the light(we couldn't help ourselves)and stared at them. They were wearing pj's that were too long for them ten days ago! Both of them can now hold their bottles. Raiden is our mover. She can get anywhere she wants by scooting, rolling, lunging from her hands and knees or feet and hands. Most if the time she is after something she's not supposed to have. I caught her using my camera as a chew toy a couple days ago. I had left it a good five feet away from her. Paiten's moving too just not a fast. I have noticed that at nap or bedtime is when she gets on her feet and hands or hands and knees the most tho. Paiten's main interest is sitting. If I prop her up right she can sit on her own for a fairly good amount of time. She enjoys her bumbo alot also. Raid sorta likes hers but acts like it's prison to her after awhile. I like that they are interested in different things. I feel as if it keeps me grounded as a twin mom. It's not as easy to treat two different children as if they are one this way. PJ is very vocal. She babbles, sings, or blows raspberries most of the time. She also screams anytime she wants anything! RJ doesn't babble as often but can say mama, dada, baba, and papa(but has no clue they mean anything). We are currently trying to recover our nap and bedtime routine that I had grown so fond of. The girls love their pups! Jaxx loves his babies but Ali doesn't. Both girls giggle, scream, and jump up and down when the dogs enter the room. Jaxx let's them pull his hair and try to kiss him. He always tries to lay by them while they are on the floor...but always gets in trouble. Ali tolerates the girls. Sometimes she will let them pet her or kiss her, but she removes herself from their area when she's had enough. I can't believe how quickly they are learning all this new stuff! I have pictures up of them almost crawling and sitting on my facebook. I can't add any off my phone until I find or buy the right app. We are hoping this whole house thing moves along pretty quickly. It's nothing like buying the trailer was. We broke in through the window(with permission of course)looked at, made a verbal agreement, started work the next day, signed our contract a few weeks later. Obviously, I wasn't worried about Tracey screwing us over. He is a very nice guy and in LA a verbal agreement still means something. He has been a lifesaver for us. But this is alot more formal. I feel as if it will be forever until the process is all over and the house is move in ready. We got it inspected so I suppose we are one step closer! Bobby had been very busy with work before we left. So busy that he didn't want to leave for vacation in fear of missing any work. He is thinking he has a full month of work ahead of him. This is a huge blessing! I can't even imagine trying to survive off of what he was making last year at this time. I was very worried when he asked me about buying the rigg while things were so slow. Even more worried when he had to start his own business after buying it. But I think it wise decision now. Bobby is a very hardworker and is always running things through his head about how to better provide for us. I am very thankful for him! This is getting very long but I want to share one more thing. Bobby, the girls, and I attended church this morning. It's a small Baptist church near the house. We have another we are going to try as well. Our decision to try the Baptist first was mostly because while I was pregnant they stopped by two or three times. They were so kind. The preacher is also a former drug addic and alcoholic. Which to most might be a scary thought but fit our personal lifestyles/pasts very well. I hope we can get together with him soon. Anways, that about covers it! We love and miss you guys!
