Idaho overview. Will add more pics when I find USB cord for camera. The trip there: The girls didn't cry first flight. Suprisingly took nap at airport. Second flight I did worse than the girls(lots of bad turbulance). Drive from SLC to Idaho Falls girls slept, Bobby drove, I read "Little Bee" on and off. First night: Girls & I hung out with Kels, mom, and Robbie's parents, sister, and neice. Very nice people, beautiful home! Cambri is a doll. Head full of dark curly hair and pretty light eyes. So much more cuddly and dainty than the girls. It made my heart melt! R & P were exhausted so we went home and slept. Bobby and Trev hung out until Robbie got off work. Then they went and hung out with Robbie all night. Second day: Pedis & manis with my mom and Aunt Cocoa. Kels went with and watched the girls. They love Aunt Keke. There were lots of fake laughs and scrunched nosed faces going on. Lunch with the women and Uncle Randall. Bobby golfed with the guys and they started the bachlor party in the afternoon. Dad watched girls so mom and I could work on wedding decorations. This wasn't very productive but I made it back with a new pair of sandals! Pait greeted me by first name when I got back to the hotel. "Saaasshuh, Saaassh, Momma". The girls stayed the night with Nana and Papa. Bachlorette/Bachlor party: Went to a bar with comedians. Got included in the act. I suppose a group of 13 or so girls drinking beer and mixed drinks with penis straws is hard to miss...not to mention Kels' "Bride to Be" sash. Lots of fun and laughter. Dancing ensues and the men crash our party. It was great though. Robbie is a dancing machine:)...hehe. It was nice finally seeing my husband though. He'd been with Robbie and Trev a mojority of the day. Male bonding. It was also the first time all of us Kirkhart kids had hung out together since May. After the bar we grilled out. Mmmmm.... Third day: Rehersal & Dinner. Rehersal went very smooth. Cambri had a cute Radio Flyer push wagon. She walked behind it smiling and waving. The girls actually stayed in their wagon. I think it's the first time the whole trip they sat STILL. It's something they don't like to do. Afterwards we put Pait in Cambri's wagon and Raid pushed her around. Dinner at Johnny Carino's was good. It was the first time I've ever loved what I ate there. So I really like it there now...Thanks to the Cox's! I think everyone enjoyed a break from the wedding stress. Kelsi seemed really relaxed. Her little sister had arrived by then so it was good seeing the two of them together again! Bobby, Trev, RJ, PJ, and I went to check the mall out. We were sort of in awe of how big the Zoomie's was. Then we realized it seemed so big because they actually sold snowboards since they are so close to the mountains there. We took the girls to see their Grandad & Granny. This is when Raid started walking(stumbling) all over the place! Later, that evening the boys kept the girls so I could go spend some time with Kels & her friends. The Big Day: The wedding was magnificent. Her colors were green, orange, and yellow. I thought this would be a hard color pallet to pull off but she did a damn fine job! They had decorative bouquets, bride and bridemaids bouquets, boutineers, and the wagons decorated with beautiful fake flowers that look real(like the kind you used Andi). The church was large but the chapel was smaller and cozy. The guest sign in table was decorated with a basket of colored bubble containers, two big engagement pics, and their niffty sign in photo album. You signed it like a yearbook. It was roughly ten,give or take, pages of dating snapshots and engagement photos. This was probably my favorite little touch. Kelsi looked stunning. She had her silky, dark hair half up with the remaining in curls. It looked as if her short pearl studded veil was pinning her hair in to place. Her dress was white and silky with straps hanging slightly off the shoulders, an appropriate v-cut(nothing like Travis Barker's wife...you know when they had their reality tv show), a low maitnance train, and green peaking through the corset ties in the back. The service was sweet...And very short(the way I like 'em) and Kelsi made it through tear free. =PSo did Robbie. I'd also like to mention that both Raiden and Paiten actually kept their bows in and their shoes on! They also ate the flowers going down the aisle instead of drop them, but that's what we all expected. The reception: Amazing is a good word to describe it. It was held outside of a family friend's mantion of a house. We had barbequed pulled pork and all the fixin's, as one might say. Various alcoholic and non drinks. The cake was funny. I'll just steal a pic and post it. The best thing was so many activities. You could socialize on the deck or by the firepit overlooking the river, slide into or float the river, play horseshoes, volleyball, or basketball, dance and the kids had a trampoline to bounce on. The girls just enjoyed free reign on Idaho's wonderful grass. Bobby and I got my aunt and uncle to watch the girls while we floated the river. The water was freezing but the company made it a blast. We went with the Cox's=), the Oklahoma girls, Trev, mom, and a few Canucks(or however it is spelled). The Canucks actually complained that they hated swimming in Lake Tenkiller because it was so hot. I would have perfered the warmer water. Funny how being raised in different regions makes you see things so differently. I was suprised how chilly it got when the sun started going down. By 11 or so the grass was covered in dew. When we headed back to the hotel the Jeep said it was 56 degrees! I'm not used to that in the middle of the summer. Idaho Falls: It is beautiful and clean. As Kelsi would say, "The size of Enid with more shopping". You could see the blue shadows of mountains in the distance. Everything seemed so peaceful. Trip home: LONG! :)We were greeted by a wall of humidity and 91 degree weather at ten thirty at night. I don't think it got quite that hot in Idaho the whole trip. We had been searching for sweaters and blankets at the reception! We had a great trip and are very proud of Kelsi and Robbie! But are very happy to be home. We made back all in one piece, with most of our sanity in tact, a new family member(tho we left him in Idaho), and lots of new memories!
